In the Philippines we often do hot wire connections. Last year my step son hot connected the new house we built. We are all very optimistic about his recovery. The wounds are mostly healed and we think the blindness will go away soon. Good luck...

 

Remember each side of the 240v bus is only 120volts no different than an outlet,there won't be any hollywood flying back through the air BS even if you would get a shock,your muscles will contract,you will drop a few f-bombs then pick up your screwdriver and go back to work. Just don't let the conductive part of screwdriver touch anything but the screw,not you, or the side of the box,or anything else. If I was closer I'd do it for you frog,maybe at the price of 2 beers or a pizza or something,lol.
