Rh you gotta get into his world them shocks as you call them are STRUTS they go in side his coil springs and have a flange welded in the middle of them. those f%$kers are 110 a piece and those are the stock ones the over sizes are gonna be more and they are a pita too r/r! rear shocks are a breeze at 49 bucks a pop.

I will counter what is being said here. Note, this information is for 2006+ 1500's (non-mega cab).

If you are adding a coil spacer (such as a 2.5" spacer), then you do NOT want to get longer shocks/struts. That will just make the lift higher (which isn't good, because 2.5" is max with this type of lift).

If you get longer struts, then you should NOT have the coil spacers installed. In other words, if you get the Bilstein or Rancho lift shocks (which are longer), then you would not use a spacer with them.

This information comes directly from Bilstein and Rancho, along with Moe's Performance.

I recently went through this. I had put on a 2.5" coil spacer last year, and wanted new shocks this year. I assumed I needed longer shocks as well, but that was not the case.

Also, you will notice that your shock choices are very small compared to the pre-strut setup and the 2500's.

I would recommend you call around and gather information as well. Don't just believe all our of our answers.

Ok let me get this straight..... so since i have a coil spacer ( the 2.5" level) i do not need longer struts? is this correct? do i need to do anything when i put the 2.5" level on? as for the other comment, the number of posts dont mean anything brother
