Default Trouble starting 05 hemi sometimes

At times the truck cranks right off. Other times it turns over for 4-5 seconds before starting. Cold weather, warm weather, sitting for an hour or 2 weeks acts the same. 60,000 miles, just changed the plugs, SC set on economy. Any suggestions? Thanks

You might try seeing if it has set any DTC codes that have't set the "check engine" light yet.

You also might try resetting the program back to stock for a time to see if that makes any difference.

My first thought was injector cleaner too----but something else comes to mind, possible water rolling around the bottom of your tank. These fuel systems don't have a return line to the tank, so the fuel isn't constantly being recycled back to the tank.
May want consider a bottle of Dry Gas (Red bottle, not yellow!) to see if that helps.

Random thoughts--sort of.

I am having the same Damn Issue... Just cleaned the the TB, No code with DTC, Truck cold starts great!!! Its only a warm start issue... I did notice a bit of gas smell to the oil... possible injector issue even though a have been told it is unlikely.. I reset ECU and still no luck... As long as pedal is to the floor on warm start it will go.. So I am thinking TB or flooding?

Let me know how you make out!!!!! It looks like it could get pricey to get to the bottom of this!!!

My 05 does the same thing, and it has since I got it a few months ago. Cold it fires up fine. But once it is warmed up, every now and then it turns over but does not fire. I do not have to hold the gas to the floor to start it though, it just touch the skinny pedal and it fires right up.

I have changed plugs, oil, cleaned TB and ran injector cleaner through it. It does it at stock tune, as well as both 87 and 93 performance tune with my DSP. No codes come up either. It seems that if I just rest my foot on the skinny pedal it fire up all of the time, so that is what I have been doing.

If anyone finds out what is causing this, please post.

Default hmmmmm

Well, I should say that I dont have to hold it to the floor either.... As long as I press the gas pedal it will start... Maybe I will try the seeing if there is water in the fuel as well, I have only had the truck for a week... Who knows how long it sat on the car lot..

I tried some injector cleaner, plugs, wires, cleaned TB, I don not have a tuner so I do not think your tuner is related to the issue.

Dodge want me to pay 150 to hook up the truck to a injector cleaning machine... They pull the fuse for the fuel pump and run it directly of the cleaner... I may give it try... Service manager says injector check valve might leak if there is something in it..

I might be further ahead to just pull the fuel rail and injectors, pressurize the system and actually see if there are any leaking...
