Default Straight pipe or NO.... Ideas...

Currently i have a 08 ram with a cat back flowmaster 40 system with 4 inch echo tips on it and i have an intake system as well.. i was thinking about cutting out the flowmaster and just putting a straight pipe in it.. any idea how it will sound good idea bad idea?? thanks for your thoughts

slap a cherry bomb extream in its place . straight pipe is not a clean sound

Keep a flowmaster, and add a electric cutout. Thats what I have and my flowmaster sounds really quite compared to the open cutout...Thats only if your looking for loud exhaust.

Got to agree with the idea of the e cutout. That way you still have the option of running it through the muffler if there is a situation where you need the truck to be quiet.

straight pipes sound like ***. go with a raceland cutout $100. done.

how bad would it be if i just replaced it all with straight piping and forget the cut out

heres what mine sounded like with stock exhaust but a pipe in place of the muffler... yours will sound different if you have duals tho... probably even more raspy/snappy if you have 2.5" pipes out the back..
