Just watch where you are running your wires, try not to run the wires near any other wires if you dont have to

so would my best bet be putting the amp behind the seats or under the front seat? i just dont want overheating to be an issue behind the seats

you would be alright. And if you were worried, tie in a little computer fan by the amp.

I would do the back wall...when i get some time, im moving mine from under the seat to the back wall

After reading the post I felt I should add that decks have remote wires because amps are not meant to be turned on by a 12 volt power supply. Hence why even the best decks have at most an 8 volt preout...

You will run risk of prematurely killing your amplifier. Wiring off the cigarette lighter will work but will diminish the life of your amplifier.

The tips I was talking about were Dropping you system to an 1ohm load, meaning the power you are drawing from your amp is taking on less of a resistance.

Basically you would configure your wires from the back of your subs were you would run the positive wire from one sub to the other and same with the ground.

You would have to have the dual connections in the back of the subs though. But when you do this you would only have 1 set of speaker wires running out of your box and simply bridge the connection to your amp where on the positive side of your amp you would use the positive channel for the hot wire, and vice versa on the negative side.

Down side good way to blow your amp if you have not used all of you LPF adjustments to ther full potential.

Well you have been doing it right in my opion. It has the cleanest look and best db hits on that setup.

With some correctly placed ports you can have a nice setup.

You sound like you have been in the spl game, you ever built a spl vehicle?

yah my subs are running at 2 ohms right now. im just gonna keep it that way cuz its all the boom i need for now. when i get some more $$$ and feel like getting a new system, then i will do the 1 ohm thing...but my amp isnt 1 ohm stable so ill just plan on blowing it whenever i do that haha. i need a box now. im just gonna get 2 12" foxboxes when i get the chance since they dont have dual 12's that i could find. any adjustments besides raising the seats i would have to do?
