yes his boxes are abs plastic and wood, I have 2 12' jbl's in mine and they sound pretty good and are only about $120 a piece if i remember right they are a little quiet when the radio is low which is good cause i have a wife and 2 kids but when i turn it up they move the rear window, it also makes a big difference when you bolt it to your truck otherwise when the bass hits hard its gonna want to jump around under the seat

haha, jump around takes me back...lol

I'd use damplifier on the inside of the box to help alleviate any resonance that occurs and reduce vibrations that cause the box to walk all over. I line most of my boxes with ~80mil.

well if you want to be loud and clear pick up some digital designs subs or DD. Those subs will blow anything out of the water.

yes you will have to raise the seat, if you buy the box new it comes with spacers already i belive they are 5/8" if not I'm sure you can make your own, they are just a piece of wood with holes drilled in them for the bolts to pass, you should be able to use the stock bolt as long as you dont go to high with the spacer

When I pulled my back seat out and damplified the back wall, I only covered the passenger side vent to reduce exhaust noise inside the cab. Worked well.
I would only reccomend covering one up not both, because they do help in releiving the cab pressure. Just yesterday when i had the heater on high, I was outside the truck and heard a vaccuum(sucking) sound. I walked closer to the truck and I heard the driver side vent making the racket, so it is letting out a bunch of air and doing some good when the air is on and when you shut your doors with the windows up.
