Default Anybody running Royal Purple in everything?

Planning a big flush in the next week or so. I want to do oil change, diffs, radiator, and tranny. Is anybody on here running Royal Purple in everything. I used to use Amsoil, but am having a hard time finding it locally. Any recomendations and tips/suggestions are welcome.

I run it everywhere in my Grand Cherokee Overland. Tranny, both diffs, crank, transfer case and even a bottle of Purple Ice in the radiator. My fuel economy was up about 2 mpgs since I switched, up until I lifted it 2" and put considerable larger and more aggressive tires on it which gave back about 3 mpgs.

I currently run it in the crank of my truck and the front diff and intend to put it in the tranny and transfer when they are due. Everywhere but the rear diff as my Auburn LSD doesn't really like synthetic lube...

Ive got it all in mine also but it is the trans that cost the most with you needing 17 quarts and costing about $11 per quart.

It is good stuff but you will drop your head when you have to foot the bill.

I think once you get into ANY brand Synthetic, your doing good for your ride especially if you keep up on maintenance. Each brand has their ups/downs compared to one another, but I'd go with whatever makes you sleep at night. I promise you cannot make a wrong choice

I have never run RP believe it or not. I have only run Mobil 1 as it's what the Advance auto carries and has sales one every so often. The RP on their shelf never comes down from the retail price so there it stays

Dont feel bad Dirty. I likely will be changing away from RP soon. It is getting hard to find and going up in price. Only Oreillys has it around here and no one else. They used to sell it in 1 gal bottles and you could save a few bux by getting two of those but now they only sell qrts. A 1gal bottle was $27 but the qrts are $8 each. I can get Mob1 at Walmart in 1gal jug for $23 I think. Thats a big difference from $32

$11 bucks a qt? WTF. at what mileage would you guys recommend changing the tranny, diffs, transfer, and radiator? i just turned 83k and want to make sure i'm not jumping the gun. I do mostly hwy miles, about 80 miles/day, and the truck is pretty much stock cept for CAI and Exhaust.I don't romp on it (can't afford the gas for the loud pedal), but need this truck to last for a long time.

It's just under $8 a qt here, but I luck out on the Jeep, my local Advance will throw the 10w-30 on sale at about $5.95 a quart once in a while. The damn 5w-20 & 5w-30 never budges in price though...

I just paid 5.99 a qt for Mobil 1 at a local NAPA store. I think it was on sale. I but there because I like the Napa Gold filter which was also 5.99.

I'd say that upwards of 100kmi for highway driving no towing and closer to 50kmi towing/hauling/city
I'd say your a good candidate for a tranny flush/fill along with new filters between now and then.

My theory is this.....If it's still a little early to change, that's called preventative mainenance and cannot hurt anything other than the measley cost compared to broken parts.
