Nope I had a muffler that would only do it at 70mph on my old truck. Took it off and replaced everything and the noise never came back. Souinded like a metallic rattle.

Also, what should I lube it with...? Like grease grease, or like mgd41/like dw40 type **** that I can spray in there?


Truckin, would it sound like a tin can w **** rattling around in it or could this really possibly be it? Is there any way I would be able to tell without ripping off the muffler?

Well what I would do is look intoeverything else first and see if it is your driveshaft or diff first (the serious issues that it could be) and then start looking into the muffler. Although it give you an excuse to get rid of the flowmaster and get something good...

Lol yeah. Too bad I can't drop some money for a full system.


Waitin on comments regarding lubing the shaft (lmao, but really). Like what is ok to use and if those are the spots.

It sounded like it was for sure coming from underneath the truck, but I'll give them a looksy as well.

well my mustang used to do the same thing. at high rpms or under heavy load my idiler pulley would screech. make sure there tight.
good belt tension and look for wear.

a zirc fitting looks kinda like a nipple sticking out ive used grease that goes in the grease gun i think it was just a white litium grease that i had....
