Default time for the fugly fake wood grain to go!

I have an 06 ram and it has the fake wood grain and i am getting tired of it. it just doesnt fit the inside of the truck. Well i was wondering if anyone knew of anybody smoking out woodgrain. making it a black wood grain look. I think it would look alot better. i have some left over black and clear from doing my tail lights but i dont know if it work out like im thinking. i was just hoping someone has already tried this.

I just painted mine....door panels remove, radio bezel needs to me taped off....

I used silver flake finish and I really like it, (better than the stock silver of the 07's)

Really.. i bet that looks nice.. I like the silver too because it kind of goes with the interior.
Can the wood grain in the door panel be popped out or do you have to tape them up too?

There are tabs that are melted you need to cut/drill out then they pop off. When you go to put them back on there are little pillars that you can put screws in to hold them on. Be sure not to use too long a screw or it will affect the plastic on the other side. I painted all my wood grain black.

If you were closer to Utah, I'd trade you. My truck has the silver, and I'd rather have the woodgrain... I am guessing this is the radio surround panel, and the door trim pieces?
