Hi I Just wanted to introduce myself real quick my name is Dan and i have a 2004 Dodge Ram QC 5.7 Hemi 2wd 1500. I just bought this truck 2 months ago and I'm about to buy a K&n CAI 57-1533. My question is What oil grade/number should i use? Im going with full synthetic Mobil 1 cuz I always put full synthetic in my cars.any help would be great thank you.

Just to clarify for the OP, mds trucks call for 5w-20, older non-mds trucks like the op's 04 use 5w-30.

 

Welcome to the forum, and as it's been said already, use 5w-30.

 

Teacher is right pre mds motors 5w30 and after 5w20 and welcome to the site sit down and stay awhile
