Default my new dragster project

I have a question concerning towing. Will my truck have any problem towing a 89 mustang on a flatbed car hauler? I think its 16 foot. Im not worried about the truck itself but my stock hitch. Has anyone done this without upgrading the hitch?

the hitch that came factory is a class IV hitch, which is plenty sufficient. you'll have no problem with that load whatsoever

Ok im back inside. So im "in the process" of buying a 89 mustang 5.0 with a lunati cam 512/512, shorty headers,.....rustmaster exhaust(ill fix that), bbk short shifter and clutch, msd ignition-wires-coils-etc, 3.73 w/posi, and cobra rims on kumho's. Oh dont forget the trailer i decided to get a project of my own since i get paid to go to school. On top of my classes being paid for i also bank 550 per class i sign up for.....i just signed up for 8(not doing all at once ofcourse)

class IV will carry more than your truck will tug. with a Weight distribution hitch setup its rated up to around 15k.

Nice project man. Sounds like someone got all the bolt ons outta the way so looks like time for some boost. I just rebuilt the motor in my 91 hatch. Cracked the phucken block in half.
