Default Codes P0344 P0016

I just had the 4.7 in my 04 Ram rebuilt after it threw a rod. I put the engine back in and started it with no problems until the check engine light came on after a few minutes. I scanned it and got codes: p0344 (camshaft position sensor) and P0016(crankshaft position sensor). After I stopped the engine and cleared the code, the engine would not start anymore. I then replaced both sensors but am experiencing the same problem. It starts at first but then will not start again for a while.

Has anybody else experienced this?

I'll bump this for ya since some people might have missed it, But after the rebuild did you check the timing? I think these might be caused by the timing being out.

Check the wiring harness and make sure something didn't get pinched when reinstalling the engine.

The shop put the timing cover back on when they assembled it so I didn't get a chance to check the timing. It does idle smoothly though.

I'll check the harness and grounds first then I'll pull the timing cover if necessary.

Thanks for your help.
