We could sit here all day and talk about the things we would never pay somebody to do but at the end of the day, all of us pay for stuff that another guy would never pay someone to do. I don't have any interest in waxing my truck myself, I don't mind paying the $125 every four months to have a professional do it; it's a nice treat. I put my energy into doing things myself such as doing the landscaping for the group homes we own, helping my brother wire up the new buildings we put up for the business, or clear cutting the land and excacating the piece of property our family owns up in Bar Harbor etc. There are plenty of things that I do that some people would pay for that I would never pay someone else to do....waxing is just one of the things I don't have an interest in doing, nothing to do with incompetence.

No debate, it's your truck and your money. I just simply said the I get enjoyment out of detailing my vehicles myself. You would be hard pressed to find a close to 6 year old truck or 8 year old Grand Cherokee that have been used for work and recreation as much as mine that are in anywhere near the condition mine are in.

I bet. There's nothing better looking than an older vehicle looking like it did the day it came off the lot. They simply stick out more than newer vehicles because they are not SUPPOSED to look good anymore. That's why I'm partially happy my truck is a 2005; it makes keeping it looking brand new that much more exciting. Sometimes I see guys with so much damage done to their vehicles, I never understood that. I don't care what kinda work you do with your truck, there is never a need for it to get dented or covered in paint or whatever. I do all kinds of intrusive work but I just take my time and make sure I watch where everything goes etc. And in the event I mess up and get a dent, I get right on it.

Cant say I agree with dumping that much green to get your vehicle detailed as I will always take the 2hrs to wash and detail mine inside and out. With that said your truck looks real good and real clean this time around.
