440 is way to high for install. i have a ready lift. not the cheapest out there but a quality product. put it on myself and saved myself who knows how much. install isnt hard at all. a guy with some experience with trucks and the required tools could knock it out in a hour or so.
instructions were straightforward with pics to explian whats needed.
my buddy has a hell bent steel on his 07 and he loves it.

Just remember you'll need an alignment after leveling.

I just ordered the Bilstein 5100 adjustable struts. Will give you 2" and a nice ride. Kill 2 with 1. $190 total and I will do them myself when I get them. Just another option for ya...

I just installed a 2.5" Rough Country on a 2008 1500 4x4.
It's a snap to do. I do a few of this type of install a month, so they don't take any effort for me anymore....2 hours of work. Even a first-timer should not have any problem knocking it out in a few hours.

I'll do a write-up on it for the forum shortly.

$440 is crazy. The kit is $100 from RC. AutoSpring sells them even cheaper. I charge $130 for the install.

Any idea why there is so much difference in price between the Hell Bent Steel and Ready Lift leveling kits? They look like the same thing online. However, bare in mind that I cannot necessarily see quality differences in online pics.
