Default cold air intake

thinking of getting a cold air intake but i dont know what ones are any good ?? i got a 08 1500 4.7 big horn heard the metal ones are kinda noisey

I got a K&N in for about 3 years now with no probs with it......I don't know if the metal tubes are louder but mine is a plastic tube. It does get louder in the cab you can really her the filter sucking all that air in!

K&N for sure, i love it on mine and will never run any other kit.

I have an AEM Brute Force intake in my rig......it works pretty good. I can't really say how much it helps with power, as I bought the truck with it installed.

I would make my own seems to do just fine for everyone the only reason why I got the K&N was for California carb approval but now that im in Florida there is no emissions testing, planning on getting all the parts I would not get in so cal now!

geez I'd better check with my emissions/inspections guy before I buy one. I live in Utah and EVERYTHING is SUPER STRICT!

Yeah check it all out man...I was never pulled over or anything but had some friends there where and got a lot of hassle with there not approved carb parts i.e. the intake and headers that they had.
