07 1500, same exact switch on/off. always wondering what its for until now since u told me. probably not aftermarket as i have the exact same one. must be an option

i dont think that is OEM. the wiring would be done better if it was OEM. it would be bundled up in a wire loom along with the battery cables. it looks aftermarket.

Just my guess but I'd say it's definately aftermarket. OP said his manual said it was for adjustable pedals. I have an 06 Laramie that has the adjustable pedals and that is where the switch is. The switch is different but that is where it is located.
