I know that when it comes to the six cylandar not much emphasys has been put on performance. You can put on just about any intake you want as long as it fits. You can get a set of JBA headers and any exaust combo that will work as long as its leagal. There is a stage 1 and 2 chip from Jet Chips, but no cams, intakes, rocker arm setups, maybe a lighter set of valves, I dont see any Ignition setups, high flow fuel pump, high flow oil pump and or waterpumps. I dont want to turbo it because turbo's wear out, I do want what a truck needs, Tourqe and maybe a small six thats good on gas as well as strong enough to keep up with that punk down the road in the 04 Mustang GT, A sleeper. Something that if you opened the hood after whooping someones *** they come up with the excuse of needing tuneups when they realise that a full size truck with a 6 cylandar kicked there ***!
Any one know of any topend kits, maybe roller rockers that work on these heads, Maybe Edelbrock performer Cam, Anything. I know alot of you are gonna say, get the 8 or you shoulda bought...Well I had a budget of 200 a month and an 8 cylandar with low miles woulda been 275+ a month, but I can piecew this together if someone can help me.

 

You can look into getting some new gears like 410's or 456's that would help out a lot if you have stock 355's or 321's. It is taking a lot of your motor to get the truck up and rolling. I think it might be one of the best bang for your buck and far as a noticeable increase in acceleration.

 

my truck is a v6 and it has about 330hp or something like if i remember right. my truck has a K&N CAI a jet chip stage 1, flowmaster 40series, SRT Hood with an injection kit on it and a BUNCH of other mods on it. my truck can poop on my friends 4.7L V8 and alot of other V8's. i cant beat my bros or my dads HEMI's just yet tho lol

Well ive had this truck for 3 years for now and ive been doing NON STOP working on it to get that engine to its full potential. i think thats as good as i can get it without putting a turbo or something like that in it. I can list EVERYTHING i have on my truck if you wana.

I don't think it's necessary to list EVERYTHING, but what did you do to the motor? I have a cold air intake and exhaust and to be honest i got maybe 15hp from that if im lucky (Exhaust is annoying ain't worth the hp to be honest). I decided to ditch the jet chip dealio a while back but I might just get one (Stage 1 or 2, still cant decide?). I'm not looking to be near hemi power, but being close to a 4.7 would satisfy me enough. Any recommendations for me?

 

Well i would recommend that if you dont like the exhaust on the truck cause it sounds "ricey" or annoying i would go with a magnaflow exhaust with a BIG muffler so its quiet and you get performance out of it. ( i wish i did that with my truck) But i would DEFF recommend the SRT Hood with induction kit you will feel a big diff when you drive. Also if you get a chip get the stage 1 first then move up to the stage 2. Im about to move to the stage 2

 

I've got the biggest magnaflow glasspack you can buy, 24in i believe hahaha (IT IS MASSIVE, and weighs like 30+ pounds) . Its not THAT loud but still annoying. Im going to put a couple resonators on it soon, hopefully making it near stock sound. I'll wait till autoanything has a sale for the jet chip. But I still don't know how you have 330hp? The hood is not happening though lol

 

well when i got the truck it already had some performance stuff done to the engine thanks to my uncle for helping me on that. but after putting that hood on which gave me 40-50hp boost and doing the jet chip which was like 10hp or something like that my uncle and me took my truck up to a dyno and it came out at 329. something and i dont remember the torque tho. but ive raced my friends with their v8's and they cant beat me lol

 

dude... no offense, but if you think that srt hood gives you ANY boost in performance you're kidding yourself. There is no possible way your truck is making 330 to the wheels. Most modded hemi's arent at 330 to the wheels.

Even 330 crank is stretchin it. If you seriously got a dyno to tell you its 329, find another dyno.
