Default Brake help!

i am in the middle of doing my brakes for the first time. I cant get the new pads around the rotor what do i have to do?

Did you compress the piston?

use a c clamp and compress both the pistons...use the old pad as the plate to do it evenly on both pistons.

i always pull the cover off my fluid res and put a baggie over it so its a lil easier and the baggie prevents spray...never had it bleed it either that way but i never touch the pedal either during a break job...

well i got the brakes done not to hard but they are squeekin pretty bad any ideas?

shoulda sprayed some brake disc quiet on the pads when you were about to put them on. always use it and never had a squeak. bought a used car w/ new pads and annoying squeak ( sold the POS after a few months, it was a bad buy) making me further believe the brake disc quiet spray really works well

any chance of spraying that stuff on the back side w/out hitting the rotor? I have an annoying squeal on the rear pass side.( new brks and rotors btw)

ok ill give that a shot tomorrow. did any of yall have a problem with the pad sliding around alot on the runners they lay on?
