Cool Just Officially purchased my first Dodge.

Hell all.
New guy here.
My first post and I officially purchased my first DODGE today.
It is a used 2004 R 1500 QC 4x4 4.7 with just over 100k miles.
I am going to need lots of help and opinions in the near future.
Pics will come later this week as well.
At the stealership. I got under the truck first thing and looked around real good.
I found a very small leak coming from what looked like the Rack at the boot of the tie rod atached to the drivers side.
The stealership is going to look at it for me and make the repair if the rack is blown. I am hoping it is just a hose clamp issue.
Anywhoos. I am nervous as heck. I am taking delivery tomorrow afternoon.

Wish me luck. And shoot me any suggestions or warnings you feel I need to know please.

Later guys.

Mr. Go.

I doubt it qualifies but the dealer has a preowned certified checklist for ease of mind. I got one when I purchased mine. And welcome to df,

leaky racks were a common problem on the 1500's... if its leaking MAKE them replace it before you buy it. otherwise you are looking at a $200 bill... at least double that if you have a shop do it.
if you plan to mod in the future you will wish you had bought a hemi
good luck with her, treat her right and she'll return the favor...

He's serious I'm trying my HARDEST to keep it out of sight for at least 4-7months so I can have peace of mind with the account again.

Welcome ! Let the mod 'bug' be gentle with you as it wasn't with me for the first year with my truck.

Cool

Good news!!
My Power steering leak looks like it is the top hose above the boot.
It is wet.
I have not pulled the boot back to see if there is fluid in the boot.
The stealership would not look for me. ( not suprised )
Anywhoos, I am going to put a couple worm clamps in front of the pinch clamps and clean the fluid off to see how she looks.
I also purchased some Lucas stop leak. Just in case it still leaks afterwards, and to hold me over until I can afford to replace the rack if it comes to that.
Pics to be added tonight.

Mopar or no car!
I wonder if when I blow this up if it would be easy to throw in the 1969 383 I have stored away for a rainy day?

Later on dudes.

Mr. Go
