Play in driveshafts
Hey guys I've posted on here before about a vibration in my drivetrain at high speeds. I tried replacing wheels, tires, and shocks and still have the problem. The next thing I was going to replace was going to be the U-Joints. I got under to check the U-Joints before I bought the parts and I noticed what I think it quite a bit of play in both shafts. I'm wondering if guys think this play can be causing the vibration. Here's a video of the play I'm experiencing. The video is of the rear shaft, the front has even more play.
Thanks!

The movement you are getting is from backlash in the gears inside the differential housing. You really need to keep that solid and not moving, but any play between the u-joint and where it's pressed in...they need to be changed.
If you are having this much trouble, it really can't hurt to get some ne joints in there. You'll have to get them pressed out/in but it's nothing difficult or too costly.

I was thinking the same thing, that I've got quite a few miles on my truck and I should probably replace the u-joints either way but there's no play in it whatsoever. Any other ideas what may be causing the problem?
Thanks!
