Default leveling kit question

looking at the Hell Bent Steel leveling kit for my 07 qc hemi. Im very new to this, so I spoke to some locals... I've heard leveling kits are a bad idea, and that the majority of leveling kits end up making the front end sit up too high, rather than actually leveling the truck out. eeeeveryone here seems to have a leveling kit. anyone run into this? and if so, is the problem actually that noticable?

There's only a few people that I personally know of where the truck actually sits higher after a level. There are people who have it sit too high and some sit a little lower. If it sits a little higher, just go to autozone and get yourself a 1 or 1.5" block for the back. Normally 2-2.5" level for the front should put you right where you need to be.

I put the HBS 2in kit on my '07, and it didn't quite level it out. After seeing Hoss's pics, I wish Id had went with the 2.5in kit. Seemed to have done it perfect.

I've got a 2" DBS leveling kit on my 07 and it's maybe a touch higher in the front than the rear I also put 285/65/20 tires on right away to. I've read on here maybe the other Dodge forum that on the 07's a 2.5" causes a 4 wheel high vibration.

^^ Thats why I didn't go with the 2.5, cause of what the grapevine was saying. Dunno why mine doesn't seem to be level, and yours is slightly higher? The kits can't be THAT much different. Hell, coulda been something to do with my install skills, I did pop a couple cherries when I did it, lol....

I have the HBS 2.5" spacer and mine sits level. As a warning, there do seem to be more issues with the 2.5" spacers than the 2" (not scientific, but from reading threads around here).

Your other option is to use the Rancho or Bilstein leveling shocks.

Alignments mostly, shaking in 4x4. I have issues with the 4x4 shake, although it's not bad (and I don't use it that often anyway).

Otherwise, I love mine.
