Ok guys, Im confused. Up until I read this thread I was thinking a 260.

Does this thread apply to the 05 hemi to or is there some difference between the 03 and 05?

Im not into racing, I just want as much low end to mid torque as I can get w/o loosing the hi End.

I have E-Fan, CAI and DSP 91 canned currently, Have set of LT's that Ill get to when I have time to get around to re-doing the entire exhaust, And some day maybe get around to new TC. Wadda you think a sidewinder? And ill be putting in 6.1 springs and rods.

You have more Tranny and Tuning Options than the 03. IMO the 2005 is probably the best Non-MDS year (besides 04) The consensus is 260 Ok but Sidewinder is overall better, a little more expensive (unlike 260 must upgrade springs/rods too) and apparently not as easy to obtain, for that reason as a Canadian dude ordering from the states If I cannot get one myself easily I will go for the Crazy Spartan with a 114 LSA for my 03 and start with my current SC Tuner (confirmed it will work) and then move up to a predator tuner and then perhaps custom tune to get even more.
I already have the other required valve train components installed so too easy in my case.

I'm sure this will get going again tommorrow, but my 2 cents tonight anyway.

The 260 needs springs also.

I am looking at upgrading my dodge ram 1500 4.7 2003 truck. I have put the superchips flashpaq in it and now I am looking at putting in some high performance cams and some headers. I aint looking for like the pink style trucks. I would like a truck that is really powerful but still able to drive on a daily basis. Just looking for some advice thanks

And if you want some cam advice you need to read this thread to see why an 03 is not good for a lot of "high performance" cams out there on the market
