can someone explain a powerwire to me

j/king can actually be shortened to "jk" but, with no offense sir, one symbol can be replaced to make the word "joking", which also is relative to the phrase intended.

Check out the G-Box at next level.com, I had the basic one when I first started out, as a newbie, and eventually sold it for what I paid to a local guy when I got my first Tuner. Was hard to tell an 8 HP claimed gain on the 345Hp Hemi but I was happy physcologically. I also got one for the Wifes PT Cruiser and it really made a noticable difference and actually helped the tranny shift better (Odd).
I'd offer to make ya one but our Kit at work only had one of those 4.7K in it and my town sucks as we don't have a Radio Shack and the Guy at The Source said I'd have to order them from Ontario (like 3 provinces over 2000 KM away).
Perhaps some good DF samaratan on on here that lives close to you? with a pack of five resistors, could chime in and offer to do you one up and mail it in an envelope then send them a dollar or something for the stamp. You never know.

but thing is, with the DIY power wire you still have to cut wires to install it. i'm nervous when it comes to wirework, i stay away from it.
(Nightmanes come from a tragic incident when i was a kid trying to smolder the wires back on my nintendo adaptor and broke it)
i'd much rather have the real "plug and play" wire from airram, even though it is a hefty price for such a little gain, i'll pay the extra so i don't have to sweat over anything. except for wasting a bit of cash.

i'm pretty sure it is as easy as you both say it is, but knowing me, i
tend to make everything more difficult than it is. i'll give it a wack though ... i mean, whats the worst that can happen?
and to end this thread how it works ... i think it's like this
the IAT detects what temperature the air is coming into the TB, if the air is cold, it can force more into it because the air is denser, allowing more to fit. the powerwire tricks the IAT into thinking the air is 20 degrees cooler than it always is, so it's always pushing more air than it normally would in.
am i getting it??
