Default couple not sure about questions?

i have a 2003 its the slt with the old 360 5.9 just curious how do i find out what tranny i have? also im gonna get a haynes manual for it just always good to have imo but not to sure if i could get one for a 02 being thats when they mostly came with the 5.9 (just not sure if they changed anything in 02 thru 03 with the 5.9) model? thanks all if you can help!

scratch the haynes manual part got that figured out but the tranny issue could help thanks!

I believe it's the 46RE, but smarter may know better. i can tell my memory is getting worse since i just looked up the same info not 2 -3 months ago. i hate getting older. had to do a tranny flush. and plan to do another before summer is up.
grats on having the 5.9l. we seem to be in the minority.

haha ya i hear ya but i love my 5.9 great motor easy to work on and very reliable imo thanks for the help

its a 46re. pretty sure thats all they used with the 360s

I believe in the front of the Haynes it outlines each number and letter in the vin. Should tell you the tranny you have.
