Default Forced maintenance? Yeah I did some today.

Before I get bitched at this was not my fault. This morning driving to school the truck started grinding hard from the left front. I knew it I knew exactly what was up front wheel bearing. I make it to school just fine have a nice day then try to limp it out to dads shop. Of course she is grinding but no chirping. Soon enough the ABS light comes on and she is squealing like a ***** you just dropped your crack pipe on. Pull over and yeah she is pooched.

Had to use a deck truck apparently a tow truck with dollys cannot go wide enough to fit the tires lol.

Think blue ***** suck? Blue bearings are worse. This thing even when of the truck stunk like big foots dick. While I was in there I replaced both sides due to the high mileage of the truck. Bearings were 400 CAD per side. 2.5 hours to do both.

Can you tell which one is destroyed. The new bearings came with new ABS sensors. No lights all functional. ***** yeah.

Moral of the story:

Sometimes chit happens. My truck is old I try to look after it but sometimes things do not go your way. Its just how it works I guess keep positive, keep motoring.

Ya **** happens, glad you got it sorted easy enough. The price was good as they arn't cheap in Canada. I had priced those for my smaller 1500 when I had a vibration but turned out wasn't that. I got 225K should I be worried? (never taken it out on the Patch as we got a service-body 2500 for that, just a bit of dirt road to the dump and playing in the gravelpit).

Yeah I was at 236k when it happened. Unlike most wheel bearings this one went really quick sorta with out warning. Your truck should be fine but if you start feeling any weird vibrations start being suspicious of the bearings going out. My truck feels way faster now with out the dragging bearing so I guess this could be a performance mod too.

OK . I guess maybe sooner or later. Thanks for the Info, Man.
I do got a small bearing noise from the Alternator (my personal Hemi Tick I guess) for over a year now but am too cheap to fork out the 300 bucks for that NEEDS because of my Torque Converter WANTS.
