you might also consider the possibilty that your diff is locked in posi . In other words it is not allowing the wheel with the smaller turning radius (thts ythe side your turning into btw) too slip. when this happens the rear end will pop and so forth, kinda like what you've already explained. The only fix is replacement. sad too say .

any specific oil you guys recommend and friction modifier, does the local auto parts store carry frictiion modiifiers?

Advance has everything you need. I run mobil 1 in my diff.

Yeah, do what Al stated and it does sound as if the 4x4 is engaged or diff is locked. I as many use the Mobil 1, my truck uses the 75/140 synth and here's a link to the additive that Advance Auot sells. I have used this in all my vehicles with no problems. Let us know what you find in there.

I used Royal Purple the other day but it was because it was the only 75-140 I could find locally. Says it has the LSD additive though so it might be good for your situation.

ok guys i opened up my diff and i saw one of the clips broken off and i found it thank god i see the other 3 and one was loose so i played with it and broken the w piece off but there seems that the other piece is still under there how do i get that out?

Take a pic if you can. The other side of the clip probably still contains the "w". This happened on one of mine as explained in my thread. I used a feeler guage to get to it and slide it out to the other side where I could access the "W". I broke that off, then turned the wheel where I had the best access to it and wiggled it out with a good pair of vise grip needle nose. GL
