Its legal to tint your front side windows now as long as you dont exceed 35%, so my question is what is the on the rear windows from the factory? If I go with 35% will it be darker than the rear, its kind of hard to tell when its on the roll in the store.

 

i dont think so, i have 20% on my truck and it matches the back on the exterior

Mine has 35% on the front and it is lighter then the stock rears

 

thanks lx... nice pix, I think I'll go with the 35% it looks good. I guess the law changed at the beginning of the year. I've been seeing alot of tinted cars around and usually the small town cops are all over that, so I asked one of the detectives that I know and he said its legal now as long as you stay over 35% your good. He said you have 5%+or- so I guess you could go to 30% if you want to press your luck.

 

I heard the same thing. I've been giving it a while for the cops to actually learn that the law has changed. You would be surprised how many cops don't know all the laws, especially newer/updated ones. There's just too many, I don't blame them.

im rockin and have been for ever dark azz tint all around , never get harassed . illinois needs to stop passing BS laws like this and work on the big one ..CC

 

I have 20% on my fronts too, and it matches. Have to go to the say guy for inspections every year.
