OK 1st Pick is before.

Installed Tow Hook Assy one pce last year from an 02 (2wd). I painted it all black including bolts and exposed frame rail area and added a home made aluminum plate holder mounted through bottom holes vice top holes of the license plate. So with the bugs etc the paint on the bolts was coming off.

Ok 2nd Pic Today I added 2 pces of homemade diamond plate, stainless steel bolts & washers, then painted the cast hook assy Aluminum and also replaced the barbwire plate surround and added new snazzy fasteners.
I am not sure I like the Aluminum paint colour. Will see how it holds up and I think eventually Patriot blue to match the truck might look better.

looks good... not a fan of the mexi-chrome paint but it looks much better than before. a colormatched bar would be cool...

noticed your EOD plates. Looks like a 9 level badge. Was that your AFSC?

 

I saw go back and paint it black or color match. Sorry, the silver just looks off. Good job though!

You know? I kind of like it! It looks pretty good IMO.

 

I LOVE the diamond plate, but I think if it were me, I'da either left the tow hooks alone or done them in a higher gloss black than the dull, flat factory black. To me they kinda get lost in there.

 

They look good, but I have to agree with Hammer on the black.

Thanks Hammer, I knew you would like the Diamond Plate Factor. Still got a 2 x 6 foot sheet left. The hooks were previously Gloss Black Plasti-Coat over flat like you said. Question is How long will I leave it before I re-paint? This proves my silver or Hammertone theory is not the way to go as I was considering that for future sway bar, traction bar colours and HEMI Orange is too flashy for a Blue Truck (My Calipers). Well I got a can of Patriot Blue in stock...Hmmm.

Not sure what AFSC means bud (Airforce something) Got my USA registered Crabs back in 2001 at Eglin AFB when I was a Sarge (E7 equiv) I figured Masterblaster plate would be fitting after 25 years sitting at the top (but no Rank here).

Nope Canadian Army (both parents were Air Force Supply and Sister in the Navy as a Clerk).
