how's that intake sound when you fire up your truck? i'm considering making my own because my velocity intake is just TOO ****ing loud.
starting the truck up in my small neighborhood sounds like someone decided to vacume the world in the middle of the night.
not to mention girls don't know what it is and think my chit is broken

I was about to ask what kind of filter you bought for $50 but then seen it was a K&N and looks like a 9" cone. Those things arent cheap for sure.

Thank dudes, i got it from advance, it was 49.99 and its a K&N, as for the noise, its loud but not to bad, u cant here much of the vacume, but then again my pipes(straights, which i am changing to cherry bomb extreme) actually cut out the sound of the filter, but yea the filter is 9 inches and the end of it fits on a 4 inch pipe... and about 20 bucks in parts from lowes.... got myself a CAI

I might suggest an under hood cleaning. Other than that it looks pretty sweet.

Also, you might want to take the TB off and take a look at it. Mine looked clean from the front too, but when I took it off it was solid black on the backside.

They are ALWAYS clean on the outside, it's the stupid EGR that dumps right behind it that makes them a black, sooty mess on the backside...
