Cool Burnout revs

I have an 04 hemi sport with headers, cai, true dials, hi flo cats, 180 thermo, and a Superchips programmer. When I power brake it, it only revs to like 2500-3000 rpms then when I let off brake it jumps way up. It's got limited slip posi track in it. My friend has same truck and mods but he has the one tire fryer and his pegs out during burnout. What's keeping mine from getting high rpms?

My 03 Hemi does the same thing. I found the other day that if I hold it at 3k RPM for a few seconds it will eventually rev up to redline.

could be the same thing shiloh was talking about. on the new dodges just about everything is computer controlled. there is no throttle cable on the hemis. if you look up from the floorboard you can see your gas petal is hooked up to a bunch of wires.
it should break loose if you give it a sec. or just reapply brake pressure after you hit redline.

Or do a few j-hooks and stomp on that sob! Power brake a truck c'mon. Under the right conditions (bleach baby) You can smoke up a storm ha ha ha I love smoke shows! In all seriousness however you need a set of line locks btw. That is a true smoke show show stopper right there!

When I do it my truck grips and actually moves haha! Just ask Joehemi, we both tried it, his truck just sat there and didnt do anything, and my truck just started hopping forward with both the front tires locked up lol. It was definitely interesting, Im still trying to figure out why it did that...

Your tires are just gripping way to well, my Furd won't burn em at all. I can lock the front tires and floor it and nothing happens at all, mine will do it but I gotta kinda play with the brake pressure to get it started then it goes fine.
