Default Gibson or Magnaflow...opinions please

I'm thinking of getting a cat-back system and looking at Gibson or Magnaflow. I want something deeper and louder than stock but not annoyingly loud. Whatever one I go with will be a dual split rear exit and both companies offer this. Does anyone have any experience or oppinions with these systems?

gibson was a little too loud for my taste, highway drone was horrible. went with a larger magnaflow, much smoother and way easier on the highway

I think the x pipe gives two things no drone and back pressure

I'd go with the magnaflow but gibson does make a good cat back. The best thing about both brands are that they offer complete stainless setups.

How does an X pipe give back pressure? It will equalize the pressure on both side of the engine but your back pressure is usually determined by the muffler.

Hey hemi how are you doing in the totm??? I nominated you btw. I believe the x factor creates back pressure by simple restriction and as the exhaust gases escape they collide at the x and that in itself creates back pressure certainly better than straight outs which is what i meant btw.

I vote for the magnaflow. When I was looking at trucks I test drove one with the gibson, it was not for me.

Why didnt you like it was it to loud or just not a good sound? I have a buddy with a gibson on his jeep and I dont like the way sounds, it isnt loud it just has a hollow tin can sound (kind of like an import car) but I dont think I've ever heard a jeep with a good exhaust. I dont know if the have the motor to sound good.
