Gibson or Magnaflow...opinions please
X pipes flow better, better balance, better flow. They scavenge better than just straight pipes. Even an H pipe is better than having no crossover. and unless you have like 5" dumped exhaust, theres gonna be some back pressure.

sorry OP, forgot... Magnaflow is hard to beat, they make a great product. they are definately going to have a more refined sound that you wont get sick of like some other systems that are just loud.
Had Gibson cat-back on my '02 5.9, sounded great but didn't last. Rusted completely out in less than 2yrs. Put Magnaflow cat-back on it and traded it about 6wks later. Sounded pretty good, not sure how long it would have lasted though. Magnaflow was stainless, Gibson was aluminized. When it comes time to replace the stock pipes on my MC it will be with a Magnaflow.
thats pretty much what I meant when I said x pipes create back pressure better than straight pipes,
I just ordered the magnaflow 16850 single side dump for my 08 mega cab 1500. Same truck as the OP. I pondered the duals, and everyone I talked to said that you will get more out of the single side dump exhaust than the duals. Unless you have a seriously modified engine that is, then get the duals, but the single will get you better power and torque and is better for towing.

I just installed a 22in Magnaflow si/so. Sounds great, butt dyno says I didn't lose any low end.
