Default Another mod crossed off the list...cut out

Just had my Raceland cut out installed... all I can say is, HELLL YEA!
It makes my dual magnaflow 40 series sound like a damn prius! I drive with it open about 90% of the time. Its a great addition to the truck for sure.
Ill try to take some vids tomorrow if it doesnt rain again.

Now I have one question, does it matter when I open/close it? (completely stopped? Under a certain rpm?) I have been making sure to only do it when the engine is under 1k rpms but I just want to make sure.
Also has anyone turned this into a wired system instead of wireless? Yea the remotes are nifty, but I think a switch is more practical..

Sweet!! Good question, I'm curious about that too. So, is it a single between the cat and muffler?

Hemi's and 4.7s have different size pipes. Mine was 2.5". Measure yourself first though for sure. I almost ordered a 3" until I measured it. And yes, it is welded in right after the y pipe.

Damn Im surprised! That little motor must be tough! My mechanic told me that it was just a little window motor lol

Glad to see another guy has joined the group of cutout users. One of the best mods you can do IMO.

As far as opening it at certain rpm's, I personally don't see how opening it at a high rpm can be a problem. Whatever exhaust gas is pushing against one half of the flap turning inward is also pressing equally against the other half helping it open (assuming the raceland has a center shaft in the flap like my DMH does). So I say open it at whatever rpm you want. I have been opening and closing mine at any rpm for a couple years and never once had a problem bc of that.
