More line pressure = more pressure on the clutches and less slippage/less wear. Tranny was already shot before the mod.

 

^ yea thats what i was thinking. there was no way that mod could do that amount of damage in that short amount of time. your trans was going already and it was just a coincidence...

 

hey sharkhunter, I forgot to mention earlier that my tranny went out about 10k ago...Dodge replaced it under warranty.

 

well im not under warranty, but I have some good news. They found out about the tranny line booster even thought I didnt tell them thats what I did and they said that should not hvae cause the tranny destruction. They said they think that it is some soliniod or something. They said they dont know what happned to it but they say the booster dosnt seem like the problem. I just dont see what else it could be. I mean i dont think the tranny would just go over night. It happned like two weeks after i had it on and im just confused im sorry for blaming it all on the booster im just so fustrated right now. the tranny was running perfect then like 4 days after my wreck it just stopped so idk the insurance says its not the wrecks fault so it is out of pocket. the bright side to all of this is. since they just did all of that work and it didnt fix the tranny im not paying for it. I bit**ed at them untill the agreed to cover it all and fix the whole thing for free no matter what the problem is because they gave me shi*ty service and didnt fix the problem the first time. The last thing that really made me mad was that they think they can treat a teen like they are not worth anything! I mean I know I dont know everything but he said I wouldnt know anything about my truck and what I said didnt matter and it was wrong! He also said I had no clue what he was telling me when he couldnt even explain what happned! I swear I hate ppl who think teens dont know anything and are all just little brats and dumb. Also he had the nerve to tell me that why are you worried daddys paying for it. WOW actually I just paid your A** $3000 for nothing then he get mad at me when I get in his face about how it my money ewwww! I will never go to this dealership ever again!

 

the second they told u ur not under warranty you should have called a tow truck and found a tranny shop.

 

I only had a 30K powertrain warranty and i have 56K miles now

 

how are you not under warranty? either lifetime or 100k right?

and yea,I know what you mean....they treat me like that because Im young, and when I walk in with my scrubs on it just doubles up on the screwing

sorry to hear you are going through all this man. really sucks. but what sucks more is you will probably never know what caused the tranny to go. there are just too many variables. could be pump failure, solenoid pack failure, pcm/tcm related. and theres really no easy way to find out which caused it.

good job for standing up to the dealership. make em pay for it.
