Default Wreck- Update

Ok so as you'll know I got into a wreck a few weeks ago and messed uo the front of my truck. Also that stupid tranny mod line booster crap blew up my tranny! Well they are estimating a cost of $3500 to get it fixed. Ya Im supper pissed! They said the insides were TOAST! So they are going to try and rebuild it instead. A new one is $4200 they said. Well on the good side, she is out of the body shop and is looking AWESOME!!! I got her looking way cool but Im still not done. I should have her back from the tranny shop on Friday totally done, then I can start my few custom mods to the front as well.
Ill get pics up by Friday if everything goes as planned.

Is that what the trans shop said? I'd like to hear more details on this part or if they gave you specifics of what happened. Sorry to hear about your misfortune though, sucks man.

yea I have a feeling they are riding your insurance company for some good money. This guy near me is pretty reputable and has his price for rebuilds and I doubt he charges $1800 just to install.

When you swing by there you should ask what they believe was the reason was behind the trans failure.

What you should do is ask for specific reasons why the trans failed and not mention the pressure booster so they cant blame it on that as an easy answer to get out of a real answer.

Glad you got the truck back though. No way I would pay that much for a trans or engine though. I rebuild my own.

why do i get the feeling this is YOU blaming it on the pressure booster and you (or them) are looking for something to blame it on. You're the first person out of dozens that I've heard have an issue with the pressure booster.

Well nothing was wrong untill this booster was put on and now they just rebuilt it and its still messed up but the are fixing it for free. Insurance won't cover it because I dosnt seem as a problem that could have
been cause by the wreck I had. I'm Really pissed because thEre is nothing I can do I don't know anything about the tranny to fix it my self or do what ever tall said. I'm only 17 and have to pay my dad back for all of this since it is all my fault for messing with it. The dealership said they have no clue what caused it but fixed a lot of stuff ill post when I get home. But they didn't fix it all so its back in the shop again. Ill post more when I get home and am not on my phone
