In side the hood there are little trays that catch the water and funnels it away from the motor. I can't get a picture but I have seen them ....in this forum I think.

just use aluminum rivets aand all your doing is scuffing up both bonding surfaces. also us shortstran fiberglass first. u want it gritty but dont neeed to remove much material.
