Cool Bouncing around?

Hey I have a 05 1500 with a 4 inch body lift. Today I went into a turn that had some potholes and cracks in the road and the back end felt like it was going to pass the front end. It felt like the back end was floating so much I pulled over and got out and checked that the wheels were not coming off!
Why would this happen and what can I do to fix it?

OH and by the way thanks to the members who answered my questions about the stock heat shields.

Someone help this bouncing around!

You could put better shocks back there, but your limited to what you can do because of the leafspring design

4 inch Body lift!! Thats so much for a body lift! Do you wheel it at all? If so I would check for points in the body lift that could be over stressed, those blocks can crack and start to move around if they have to much stress on them, which is why companies dont tend to make larger than a 3 inch bodylift, and because it doesnt look great...

Default Bouncing around!

Hey my mistake I said 4 inch body lift my mistake it is only a 2 inch lift dont know what I was thinking. The lift is only 1 year old and only has about 9500 miles on it so it is still in good shape. Maybe I just need to get some decent shocks they look like factory ones on there. Have not had the truck long.

I wasn't even aware you could get anything other than a 3" body lift for an '05 1500... Was there any modification done to the rear leafs?

not to steal on this thing, but I get some good bounce too, anyone have any good shock recomendations? I just have a 2" level in front so I am assuming that my shock would stay factory size?

Default Bouncing!

All right heck 2 inch, 3 inch, 10, 5000 inch whatever the lift!!! I got the gawd dang tape measure out and it measures 3 INCHES!!
My question remember was about the back end wanting to pass the front end in rough turns.
Don't make mountains out of molehills. Take it easy I have only had the truck for about 2 months now. Everything that is on it besides the 4 inch CAI I homebrewed came on it from the previous owner. Still learning this truck. I previously had a 2001. Now play nice or I will have to start picking back
