I ran a moderate stream for the first time,cleaned the rest with a rag full of wd-40. Yep another use. But it will attract dust like flys on you know what.

Oh and I have the coil packs btw.

Yeah, WD-40 did the trick in the old days and yes everything stuck to it. Try one of the engine detailers I mentioned. No rags, no wrapping things up...just spray on, etc per the directions. I've also never had any gummy residue left over. Coil packs on these trucks...I'd probably cover during the water spray just to be on the safe side.
