I love my efan. If nothing else it clear room under the hood. I am watching my temps this summer and checking to see if I need to change mine to the high speed side. You can get 60/80 amp SPDT 5 pin relays on ebay for about $10

a complete diy would be great! i just dont know where to put the metal straps to hold it in, and the wiring is going to be confusing for me, did you take both efans out of the 3.8l taurus? the salvage yard asked me if i wanted both i just said yes?

next day off i get i am going to do the conversion and take pictures for a DYI.

As I understand there are two options to go for at the junk yard - mark VII or taurus. I am also going to grab a couple of thermal switches from radiators there and see if I can't find a place for it on my rig so I don't have to buy anything additional for the fan control. If the taurus fan dual speed then does that have a dual temperature fan switch or is it for when the ac is on?

if you buy a hyden fan controller form orillies like 35 buck with lifetime warrenty you can set the temp it comes on at and there is a wire that you can connect to the ac to have it come on when the ac does. I have a switch in the cab for the high side whenever I go to the track or tow or just want extra cooling. the low side has always been good enuff for any reg. driving

The A/C switch function isn't necessary. The A/C is not cooled through the engine. It has a separate condenser.

The Flex-A-Lite I put on five + years ago works great. Cools even towing in traffic.

Im a flexalite kit #183 fan. Everything you need, warranty on the parts you buy. Everything is new. and Not from a scrap yard. the kit comes with a fluid res bracket to put things back together with out the overly crowding OEM shroud.

I really really should do a photo of the set up.

I am looking to make this mod to my 07. I do not want to rely on any kind of manual switch but I would like the fan to run when the AC is on. How would you accomplish this?
