No it was just a short white bed that was originaly a 6 banger but I put in a 360. The high gearing totally sucked for acceleration but was nice for cruising on the highway.

I have a Written Warning for 140+ the sheriff was a friend of my GF at that time and did not want to take me to jail. I was in a 78 1/2 ton F150 with SCJ 429 in it. The faster it went the smoother it drove.. 100 is nothing in one of these Little Dodges. The 09 Dakota I drive at work has seen 110 a time or 2 passing Truck Drivers on 36 highway in Ks it is a must to be running that fast to make it around them safely.. That or stay behind them doing 35 up hill and 70 down hill. I guess I am some kinda speed demon or something but I think 140 in my little 1500 would not be a Problem. It quits being so darty at about 85 mine sets pretty low so that may be why it feels so stable at higher speeds..

Stock on my 04 is 107, I had mine at 121 and that was all it had... The last 1/4 of the peddle at that speed doesn't gain much.. Flat road no wind... I have a hypertech programmer.

I set mine at 140, sc3865, but in reality I wouldn't even try to get up over a buck ten. I'm not convinced of my tires, and if the slightest thing goes wrong the end result would be catastrophic. Besides with 4x4 capability I bought it for off road and looks.....not the 1/4 mile or Daytona for that matter. I think mine was at 107 btw.

but you never know, if the cops are chasing you
you pull over for them instead of running.you might kill someone by doing that

Quick tip - For those in Alberta (possibly all of Canada too) If the cop clocks you over 160 km/h they CANNOT engage pursuit.

Or so I've heard... can anyone confirm this? I recall seeing it in the learners manual somewhere
Still doesn't rule out waiting for you with the spike belts

Mine is a 2018 and the limiter kicks in at 106 on mine. Didn't know about the key trick. I wish I would've when I got beat by a VW when my truck hit 106 and limited out. Lol

I dont know what's worn out on other trucks to make you feel so unsafe at 110mph but my trucks are kept well maintained and it doesn't feel scary or loose or anything at 120mph at all. and I dont know why on a informational forum, thats every single person who has asked how to remove the speed limiter always gets tons of hate and slack for it instead of people just helping with how to remove it. alot of us drag our trucks and can get them above those speeds and we just want to be able to get rid of the limiter. its not a big deal if they are gonna crash at 120 or 130mph then they would have crashed at 90 or 100mph and everyone asking why, why, why isn't gonna make a difference. but as for the way the trucks feel i have an 03 and an 04 and they both feel great at high speeds so if anyone is feeling scared at high speeds then you may want to shake the truck down and replace some stuff. in the end they are gonna figure it out regardless. its kind of like asking what tire is the cheapest, cheap tires can kill you just as easily but you dont see people in every single forum drilling the person asking, with a whole page full of WHY?
