Default UPgrades?

This summer I will be making decent money, and I want to add to my truck. Say I have $2000 to spend, what is the best way to go. Also keep in mind that this is a 4x4 truck and will be used as so. I am wanting engine help, not off-road help. So what's best to get some performance and a tad better gas mileage. This is an '02, 1500, 4.7

Get a good CAI, Exhaust, and Tuner. Those will help you with performance and gas mileage. A new torque converter and/or valve body. New gears if you dont have the 3.92s.

http://moesperformance.com/index.php...oducts_id=1163 Silver beat me to it

^^^ thats your best bet. If you dont plan on going bigger on the tires, you could get away with going with the 4.11s as well. They are both the same price through moes. I was saying if you already had 3.92s, then with your current tires you'd be alright with holding off on gears. If you are going to upgrade your gears and keep your current tire size, go with 4.11 or 4.56.

for $2,000 do gears, CAI, exhaust, programmer, and efan. you should see mpg gains of about 3-4 mpg. you'll also add a few horsepower (roughly 20-25 to the wheels).

I already have exhaust, but is CAI a good idea for running around on dirt roads with?
