First post!..So i've caught MOD fever since joining about a month ago. Seeing all the posts and pics has been very informative. Bought my first RAM a few months back now and it's GREAT! Stock for now figured i'd drop a post before I "MOD it up a bit". 2.5" leveling kit goes on in 2 days. Can't wait to see the difference. Then replacing the stock HP tires w/ something good on the stock 20's in the very near future!

 

Nice man. What size or tread pattern are you leaning towards?

Mod fever is a good but expensive thing to catch.

 

I've been back and forth on size and tread pattern. Was originally thinking toyo m/t, or nitto grappler, obviously the unpractical choices all the way but hands down they look the best; but the way everyone around here rants and raves over the zeons i'm not sure now...choices...choices...

 

people rant and rave over the zeons and terra grapps as an A/T tire. people also rant and rave over the Toyo M/T and trail grapps as a M/T with street practicality. The most common M/T the belongs only off road with zero street practicality is the Mud Grapps.

With just a level, go with 33's. If later you decide to go with a suspension lift, they'll still look good

 

I hope your replacing the struts like me when you get that leveled btw. If not you'll find out soon enough. ( the stock struts are not the best in the world,) I've had my truck since feb, with 50k on her and this truck never seen the woods. but she floats on the highway, yeah like a boat. i ordered the bilsteins level 5100's. It replaces the oem stuff with a pretty good warranty and it levels her out too 2.5 max. I believe. If it's not too late go with that set up. ( one o6 owner to another) And don't forget too vote black truck of the quarter. thanks.

 

hey thanks for the input...Definitly too late for the new struts. Hopefully it's not too much trouble to go at that after the level kit goes in. How much did the 5100's set you back...install them yet? noticeable difference in the ride?
