Sweet truck, I just bought one last weekend but with the off road package. I am not towing anything yet, but I decide to invest in the tow mirrors just in case. The lookes pretty sweet, and even when not towing, the spot mirrors are sweet. Did you get 4 wheel ABS? I dont know if this will do much for when towing but I really wanted it just in case for regular driving. WHY DOES DOGE NOT MAKE IT STANDARD FOR ABS ON 1500's ??????I had to look hard to find one in SLT with this option.
The newer HD's from chevy will beat a ram everywhere but MPG, dodge doesnt have a quad cab 8' bedlast i checked, but chevy doesnt have a hemi.
we have a '77 GMC C3500 (1 ton) and a camaro, we would have gotten a HD from chevy for my dad's new job, but after seeing the comparision in price and specs, we went with a ram. Enjoy it, we have 11,000 miles on our hemi getting 19 MPG highway with 1 defect so far (column key switch broke, dealer said rare occurance), so not really much to worry about.

Thanks for all the compliments... Just had to take her out today and romp on it WOW I do like the hemi so far..
I would like it to have a little sound to her. Can I just replace the stock muffler with a flow? What is the cheapest way to get a little better sound? i dont want it really loud just a little throaty! And, what is the small muffler looking thing at the end of the exhaust pipe, is that a resinator?

Mine has a Flow 40 cut back from the cats and dumps out the passenger side with dual stainless tips... sounds great and looks hot...love the way it gets attention.........

I too jumped from the Chevy bandwagon for a Ram, had been eyeing them since the Gen II's.
Gotta say that I love the fact I finally did and hope that it will be worth it in the long run. Of course, because those that I left behind (on the Chevy/GM bandwagon) are already doing the brand bashing thing with Chevy vs. Dodge.

Good to have you on board...sweet looking truck. I was a former Chevy guy as well and you can't believe the bustin I still get from my other Chevy buddies, but, what the heck---ya gotta like what ya got. You stomp on the Hemi and you've just got to smile. I got the Gray--yours was the other one I was looking at.
About towing, I agree with all the other guys that with that weight, no prob, but I'd be alot more comfortable with a good solid receiver hitch rather than pulling it on the bumper. If you didn't get the factory tow package, I 'd put on a receiver hitch, trans and oil coolers (all that stuff comes with the factory tow package). Mine came with the tow mirrors too, but I've never really had any need for them...the truck is so wide anyway, it takes a pretty wide trailer to go beyond the normal setting for them. As far as mufflers, a lot of guys are happy with Flowmasters. You can either do a cat back or just the muffler.
Have fun!
