Default Chevy man bought a Ram..

Hello all, I have been reading your postings and decided to stray from Chevy. I just bought a 05 Ram 1500 4x4 QC with the Hemi. Is there any problems I need to watch for or any upgrades I need to do?

Alot of chevy people are jumping ship to a Ram. Welcome to Dodge Forum. The Hemi has been pretty reliable thus far as is the entire truck. Hope your experiences are all good.

If you go off road you should get bigger, more terrain appropriate tires. If you tow a lot, frequently, get a larger tranny cooler. I would also consider an exaust and intake upgrade if you NEED the little bit of performance it provides, other than that I'd leave it stock. Oh yeah, and some tint for the front windows. It all depends what you are using it for I guess. Let us know your plans and we can help you out a little better.

Not much offroading but will be towing a 24' bumper pull Terry travel trailer. I am new the the 1/2 ton scene. I was pulling it with a 01 Chevy 2500 HD with the 6.o but I hope this 1/2 ton Hemi will drag it ok.. Any thoughts?

Nice looking truck, although I don't understand why they put 20"s on it from the factory (for a 4x4). I can understand 2WD but a 4x4? You shouldn't have a problem with the trailer.

Hell i thought it was a 4x2 when I first looked at it. My wife bought the 2wd with a 4.7 and they look the same...
