Default Dodge cutting out

Hey guys over the past couple of weeks i have noticed in my 03 1500 4.7L that when i come to a stop the bottom seems to drop out and my RPM drop way low like 100 -200 RPM then the motor completely dies. I have cleaned my throttle body to see if it was a problem and it fixed this issue for about 5 days then it all started up again. i am not sure what the problem is but i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or might know something i could do to get it fixed. i am not really wanting to take it to a shop and pay the $85.00 for a BS diagnosis so if yall could help i would appreciate it.

My first thoughts always go to throttle body and EGR when the symptoms are stalling at low RPMs. Since you did the former, I'd do the latter.

I had that problem with the Hemi and it was the EGR. Though in my case it did throw a CEL code. Not sure about the EGR location in 4.7.

Looks something like this

I have a 2005 4.7 ram and had the same issue and it turned out to be the EGR valve. Runs like a champ now. It would stall, at idle it was choppy. The part is about $80. It's in the very back of the engine, drivers side. It's not very visible. Remove the air intake box, some of the hoses back there so you have some working room. Also remove the plug in wire to it(there might be a red sliding tab on it that locks the plug into place) Now to take this off is only 2 bolts on the top. That is it. You don't have to remove the other 2 bolts from the bottom side. Just the top 2. After you get the bolts off there is a metal pipe that goes into the throttle body and it will pop right out.

I spoke to the dealer and there are 9 different part numbers the EGR. I asked him why so many "because it's been made 9 different times" I said WOW- NO RECALL? he said no..

The one for the Hemi was about 48 bucks at autozone.
