Man, that is an expensive habit you have gotten into. Don't know how you are using your truck, but this last round I would say the differential held and you had a ring gear failure. My recommendation is use the best ring and pinion set you can find. I was told that the OEM set was the best and went that route. And have had no problem, but I have only had them installed a short time. Good Luck...

I have Genuine 4:56 gears and with the proper break in I have put mine to the test multiple times and never had a problem. I ran mine on 37's for about 30,000 miles. Plus Lifetime Warranty. Had to use the warranty when my pinion seal went, chunking the gears. But not from weakness in the gears themselves. I have the DTT but have heard good results with the Auburn.

That is a nice looking truck. maybe a set of 4:88's if they will fit. From what I have heard from the forum, the SRT10 spring pads are flipped from the standard 1500. But that is no big deal, you would just have to relocate them or do a reverse flip. But I would think the SRT10 would be the easiest swap. Good luck...

Was the pinion nut replaced each time the rear end was set up? These pinion nuts are one time use only. I rebuilt my 9 1/4" rear end and used locktite on the original pinion nut and after 40K the pinion bearing started making noise. I had a Diff shop do it the 2nd time and I asked then to check everything when they took it apart since I wanted to know what I did wrong. They told me everything was set-up correctly but told me that I didn't replace the Pinion Nut. They were right on the money. I rechecked the aftermarket shop manual I bought and it did not state that the nut had to be replaced. I checked with two other Diff speciality shops and they also said the nuts have to be replaced. I have done two other rear ends since then and I replace the nuts now.
