The final drive ratios are really close between the two.

Ohhh I looked at a few Cummins today...choices choices choices.

The ones in my price range are 2 passenger trucks, the quad cabs are a lot more expensive...ugh

do u have like add bullitens where u live, i usually buy my used vehicles from the owners and really dont do much searching online.... i just found a 2003 2500 Hemi quad cab 6 speed with 54k miles on it for 15,998, i dont know if thats in ur price range but thats a good deal.... but u can usually find better deals from the owners around ur area

That is a good deal, I honestly haven't figured out what my range is yet. haha my absolute LIMIT is probably 16k, but that's stretching it. I'm hoping to sell my truck for 9k or so, and I have 2k or so saved so far. I'm 18, and headed to college, so I don't need to go ape **** on anything. haha

yea im still in college, my truck when i bought it blue booked at 14,800 and i got it for 12k.... u can find alot better prices from owners from adds bulletins and such

There was a time, (*2008), when u could buy a brand new Hemi quad cab for 18k out the door.
Buy the Cummins. That truck will last a lot longer than its (hemi), little brother.

I'm actually thinking about playing the "gas".
Sell Dakota now
Buy high MPG car with some of the money
Sell high MPG car for profit with 4 dollar gas
Buy truck for cheap with 4 dollar gas
