Yes, you are right in that aspect. I'm thinking the potentiometer at the pedal, that tells the TB when and how far to open, may have a bad spot.

You're thinking of the sensor that tells the computer how far the TB is open, I'm thinking of the sensor that tells the TB how far to open.

Yes, I updated my statement. Replacing the pedal sensor first would be the way to go.

before you do ANY of that, reset the PCM.
