OH !! I used the reverse wire from the reverse light in the taillight.Maybe thats why it doesn't work.Which wire is it on the Trailer Hitch?Or do I need to use a light tester to find that out?

a tester will help to locate the right wire but the wire in the tail light will work if you have the correct one, that is where mine is connected.

I'm fixin' to make a little receiver mount light bar for the Jeep for when the winch is not on it, and figure to use it on the rear of my truck at times. Many a time I've gone to load my boat in the bed or load up the ATV at night and couldn't see what the hell I was doing. gonna use a 4 pin trailer wire extender to make a quick connect for attaching for power to the rear of my truck. Already have the PERFECT spot for a waterproof toggle switch too:

To the OP: If you use the 4-pin pig tail, Brown is tail/running, White is ground, Yellow is left turn/brake and Green is right turn/brake...
