I really 'preciate the compliment 04.... Even though I haven't done too terribly much, it has come quite a little ways from the time I drove it off the lot, still PLENTY of things I wanna do.....as we all know, theres no end!

Crazyandy.... for a reference point, I have basically the same truck as you, 06-08, and with 295/70/17's I slightly rub on the upper control arm ( I think its called) at full lock (when turning the wheel all the way, either way). I believe my tires come out to be 33.4inx11.1in....

to answer your question, you have two options.... wheel spacers, or new rims with enough backspacing to accomodate the wider tires.

As far as spacers go, the word on the forum is that you want to go with hubcentric spacers. I was going to go with the AdvancedAuto ones for about $30 a set, but all of the guys I fully trust on here say NO to those. The hubcentric ones can be found on E-bay for about $60-$70 a set (2). Hope this helps some....

Edit: I just found a random tire size conversion thing, and it says my tires are 33.3in x 11.6 so, like I said, you definately need spacers to run 35's. Also, IIRC, 305's are as wide as you wanna go, comfortably, on the stock 17's. A few guys have gone as wide as 315's on the stockers, but I believe those are still 34's......

I've got an 2005 Ram 1500 4x4 single cab, thinking about putting a 2" leveling kit on it, and 275/65r20 dunlop rover mt maxx tractions on it.... anyone know if those will fit before the level... and what it takes to put one of these leveling kits on?
